It is so heart breaking to see your home country drifting into chaos with an unpredictable future that seems darker than a moonless night.
I used an old scrap of white cotton fabric for my quilt top, randomly dipped it in hand dyes: turquoise and yellow, the colors of the sea and the desert sand.

For the back side of my quilt, I used an old drawing from my fabric journal. The dusty color of the torn fabric burnt and crumpled with a hot iron was a perfect frame for my mood.
